True North Mentoring

Mentoring

Our mentors act as positive role models and advocates for youth, collaborating with schools, parents, teachers, OJA workers, and DHS workers. The program’s main goal is to connect young people to supportive adults and community activities that encourage ongoing positive behavior and decision-making after they leave the program.

  • Mentoring is a free service funded by Oklahoma Juvenile Affairs (OJA).
  • We provide mentors for both males and females, ages 11 to 18.
  • Mentors engage youth in positive activities such as music, crafts, sports, and volunteering.
  • We also assist youth with practical support like obtaining ID cards, studying for permit tests, re-enrolling in school, and finding employment.
