Parents as Teachers (PAT)

Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a free, in-home education program designed to support families in helping their young children grow up healthy, safe, and ready to learn. Our trained parent educators provide information, encouragement, and guidance tailored to your family's needs.

What We Offer

  • Flexible, in-home visits twice per month
  • Child development screenings to monitor your child’s growth
  • Referrals to helpful community resources
  • Parent support groups for connection and encouragement
  • Fun, age-appropriate activities that promote early learning and school readiness

Who Can Join?

  • Are at least 29 weeks pregnant, or
  • Are a parent or guardian of a child from birth to age six, and
  • Live in Comanche County

Marie Detty Youth & Family Services is a private, non-profit agency that serves the needs of the community as a whole. The agency  reaches out to those who are vulnerable, and in need and provides comfort and care.
